Client: Highways Agency / BAA
Project: M11/A120 Stansted Slip Roads
Completed: 2003
Value: £42 million

This design and construct scheme, which was procured under NEC Option C, entailed widening the existing carriageway of the M11 at junction 8 to accommodate slip road improvements and future expansion.

Work included major maintenance works involving crack and seat, new surfacing, drainage, safety fencing, and new lighting to 3km of the motorway - as well as construction of nine new structures, including a 150m long heavily skewed composite overbridge, a large in-situ reinforced concrete box structure, and two steel corrugated multi-plate structures.
