Client: Highways Agency
Project: Midlands Framework
Completed: 2002-07

This five-year framework contract covers road works and structures on some of the busiest routes in England, including the A1(M), M69, M42, M6, A16, and A17.

Schemes typically include carriageway resurfacing and reconstruction, bridge renovation and new construction, concrete repairs and junction remodelling.

In many cases work is undertaken on a 24 hour a day, seven days a week basis.

One of the first projects to be completed was the improvement of the A1 junction at Stibbington (pictured).

This involved a new over-bridge, together with on and off slip roads, and resurfacing of the main carriageway within the works area.
