Client: Norwich City Council
Project: Novi-Sad Friendship Bridge
Completed: 2001
Value: £0.8 million

This architect-designed asymmetric cable stayed swing footbridge spans the River Wensum in Norwich, and is named in recognition of the twinning ties between Norwich and the Yugoslav City of Novi Sad.

The 85 tonne bridge is constructed entirely from steel and has a 34 metre moving deck that rotates about the central pier.

The lightweight steel, swinging span is counterbalanced by kentledge.
