Introducing 'passive safety' to the London Borough of Havering
The challenge:
To encourage the adoption of new passive safety devices.
The solution:
Cartledge works closely with its supply chain partners to implement new safety equipment.
As a result of one such partnership, Cartledge has replaced traditional internally luminated traffic bollards with TMP Flectra® passive safety bollards, which are coated in 3M(TM) Scotchlite(TM) Diamond Grade(TM) Fluorescent Reflective Sheeting to overcome the need for internal illumination.
These spring-loaded bollards are capable of withstanding an impact of up to 45mph.
