Client: National Construction College
Project: Scaffold Training Centre, Erith
Completed: February 2003
Value: £300,000

The project comprised the construction of a purpose-built scaffold training facility for the National Construction College South, a training division of the CITB.

The scheme also involved the addition of three new lecture rooms and the upgrading of the existing canteen. As a result, the College can now cater for a total of 200 trainees on site at any one time. In addition, as the centre is covered it is usable throughout the year, irrespective of weather conditions.

The facility, which was officially opened by Sir Michael Latham, CITB Chairman, is the largest and most modern of its kind in the UK.
