Recycling performance• We have doubled the recycling rate that was achieved by the previous operator. • The two recycling centres accept around 22,000 tonnes per annum and achieved a recycling rate of 60% in 2011. • We have reduced throughput by 5,000 tonnes per annum, saving the council more than £400,000 per annum.
