May Gurney appoints new group finance director

May Gurney has appointed Matt Stevens as its new group finance director.

Prior to joining May Gurney, Matt was divisional finance and commercial director of Serco Defense’s Science and Technology department, having previously occupied senior positions at Serco since 2001.

On joining the company Matt said: “The opportunity to join May Gurney as group finance director was an obvious choice. The company is well managed, has an excellent record with its customers and shareholders and is well positioned to continue its recent significant growth.

"In my first few weeks with the business I've been impressed by my colleagues' 'can do' attitude and the focus on customer service.”
