For example, on the A11 Attleborough bypass improvement, TREK designed a scheme to eliminate the need for a contra flow and minimise the use of a convoy system.
Where a convoy system is required, TREK has invested in nine SMART cars to enable a quicker turnaround time. These vehicles also deliver significantly increased fuel efficiency and reduced C02 - ultimately reducing the cost of a convoy scheme by an average of 5%.
