An apprenticeship with May Gurney offers variety, interest and responsibility. It's a great way to gain hands-on workplace experience and get qualified while at the same time being paid a wage.

We offer genuine prospects to develop your career in a wide range of areas including electrical, mechanical or plumbing services, engineering, a number of construction trades and highways maintenance.
You will be trained by experts in their field, while at the same time building your knowledge and experience and gaining practical job-specific skills that will stay with you for life.
You will also attend college to work towards a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) or other nationally recognised qualification.
Your apprenticeship will take between two and four years to complete, depending on the type of framework. The length of time will depend on your ability and application, and our requirements.
You will receive support from our Starting Out officer who will guide you through your development plan. Your personal mentor and line manager will also help maximise your opportunities and long-term career progression.
