Rees goes underground

Chris Rees, a well know figure in the murky world of tunnels, culverts and all things underground that need structural maintenance, has recently joined May Gurney's growing team of specialist experts.

Rees, who built his reputation while at Rees Hough and Sewer Services before the company was bought by Insituform several years ago, joined May Gurney last month.

He says: "Developing and implementing innovative 'man-entry' solutions for underground structures is what I know and love.

"May Gurney's extensive portfolio of clients and customers in the utilities, rail and highways sectors comprises a solid foundation that I am looking forward to supporting, and offering added value to maintenance activities."

Tim Read, May Gurney Utility Services' Managing Director, added: "It's good to welcome Chris on board - I know that his thoroughbred engineering knowledge will help us develop the levels of service delivery we want for the future."

For asset owners with conduits or underground structures at risk of failing, May Gurney can deploy the latest renovation techniques to offer solutions that comply with the rigors of structural engineering design, while also minimising disruption.
