A feature length article entitled 'Ambitious growth plan for May Gurney' was published in the Western Morning News on 5 April.

The article described May Gurney as 'well established in the Westcountry, with key customers South West Water, Plymouth City Council, the Environment Agency and Western Power Distribution'.

The company is described as 'keen not to rest on past successes' and 'once again on the expansion trail... with a war chest for acquisitions created last June when the group floated on the Alternative Investment Market'.
