Scottish Water contract extended

May Gurney's Alliance with Scottish Water Contracting (SWC) has been awarded a contract extension by Scottish Water, which is likely to be worth between £7-9m per annum.

The Alliance was established in 2005 to deliver a substantial part of Scottish Water's sewer and water networks rehabilitation programme, and other associated works.

The Alliance has supported Scottish Water by providing water rehabilitation, network maintenance and sewer rehabilitation solutions including 'internal flooding and other causes' (IFOC) solutions to remove households from the flood register.

The original two-year contract, which expired at the end of March 2007, has been extended for a further 12 months - with the option of another two-year extension after that.
