Contracts light up Cartledge

Our specialist street lighting business, Cartledge - the UK's third largest street lighting company - has been awarded three new contracts in recent weeks.

The London Borough of Bexley has re-appointed Cartledge with a 12-year long-term partnership street lighting maintenance contract. Cartledge has been working with Bexley since 2004 and this is the second long-term partnership contract it has been awarded.

Cartledge will be responsible for 22,100 units and is introducing a range of innovations to reduce cost and improve lighting and service standards.

Thurrock Council has also re-appointed Cartledge to maintain its 20,500 lighting units until March 2011, with a possible further two-year extension.

And as part of the Northamptonshire County Council sustainable transport highway services contract we've been awarded in partnership with WSP, Cartledge has been appointed to maintain the county's 73,000 streetlights.
