Long-term signalling framework secured

A highly significant new five year Type C Signalling Framework awarded to May Gurney by Network Rail is expected to be worth around £10m per annum.

"This significant win strengthens May Gurney's position as a key partner in the rail sector."

David Sterry

The framework is to design, install, test and commission minor signalling works in the North Thames Area (East Anglia and the northern Home Counties) .

David Sterry, Chief Executive, said: "This significant business win strengthens May Gurney's position as a key partner for maintenance and enhancement services in the rail sector and validates our strategy of focussing on developing long-term relationships with our customers."

The schemes within the framework will range in value from approximately £100k to £5m, and will include design and build projects for the refurbishment of level crossings, improvements to the reliability of the signalling system, and life extension works for existing systems - all aimed at making the network more reliable.
