Print supplier makes recycling final

The company that prints May Gurney News, Attleborough-based Breckland Print, reached the finals of the Letsrecycle.com Excellence Awards for recycling and waste management.

Breckland Print finished runners up to Coca Cola in the 'commercial recycling champion' category.

This latest recognition follows the company's success in the environment category of the 2005 EDP Business Awards.

"May Gurney places significant emphasis on working in partnership with members of its supply chain, and on environmental/sustainable issues," said Ian Findlater, May Gurney's Business Development Director. "It's great to see that one of our preferred suppliers places as much emphasis on recycling and waste management as we do."

Philip Colchester, Managing Director of Breckland Print, said: "As the only company to appear (in the awards) from the print sector, we are delighted.

"As a winner of a number of industry awards, we tend to forget that what is now engrained into our daily routines is quite rare in many other companies."
