We have renamed our ‘Waste Services’ business ‘Environmental Services’ to better reflect what we do.
Environmental Services has 12 core long-term customers, 1,300 employees and annual revenues of around £57m. We are the UK’s largest collector of source segregated kitchen waste, and one of our customers, the Somerset Waste Partnership (SWP), currently achieves the nation's lowest rate of residual waste disposal.

The services offered by May Gurney Environmental Services include: the collection of recyclables, kitchen waste, garden waste and residual waste; the operation of household waste and recycling centres, waste transfer stations and materials reclamation facilities; street cleansing and grounds maintenance; and intermediate processing facilities such as anaerobic digestion.
Nicola Peake concludes: “Our focus is on providing integrated services that deliver outstanding results to customers on the basis of long-term partnership relationships.
