Site investigation partnership established

A partnership with Norfolk County Council has further strengthened May Gurney's in-house site investigation capabilities.

Building on the success of the Norfolk Strategic Partnership, May Gurney's Geotechnical and Environmental divisions and Norfolk County Laboratories (part of Norfolk County Council) have merged to form a new geotechnical laboratory. The new service, the Norfolk Partnership Laboratory (NPL), is based at County Hall, Norwich.

The new laboratory strengthens May Gurney's in house site investigation capabilities - the company is now able to offer comprehensive UKAS accredited soils and materials testing facilities.

NPL's services include materials testing (such as concrete cube analysis), classification testing, strength testing, geotechnical chemistry analysis and asphalt testing. The new partnership can also offer site laboratory facilities for road construction or CQA testing.

For further information or to arrange a visit to see NPL's facilities contact Bob Noakes on 01603 222416 or John Lawrence on 01953 888828.
