Cartledge management team strengthened

Chartered Engineer Martin Potter took up the position of Operations Director at Cartledge, May Gurney's specialist street lighting business, on 30 October.

Martin is based at the company's Chelmsford depot but has operational responsibility for Cartledge's six regional depots.

Martin joins May Gurney from Mowlem, where he was responsible for a number of businesses including utilities, highways lighting, landscaping and fencing. He spent 17 years with Mowlem after graduating from Leeds University.

Martin is a corporate Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and holds a Diploma in Management.

"There's a 'can do' ethos at May Gurney - everyone is keen to deliver a quality customer focused product," he says. "I am looking forward to working with some great people to enhance our delivery and expand the business further."
