Donation to improve road safety
A donation of more than £5,000 by May Gurney has enabled West Sussex County Council's road safety team to take delivery of a new trailer to be used at events to make the county's roads safer.

The new 16 foot twin axle trailer with sides, headboard and tailboard has been tailored to WSCC's specification. It will be used by the road safety team and fire service to transport crashed vehicles to road safety events at educational establishments, shopping centres and supermarkets, fire stations and other venues to show people first hand the horror of a road crash.

May Gurney donated the trailer and lights at a cost of £5,200 and a generator was also generously donated by Hampshire-based Superstart.
