RWM08 - an excellent platform

Our Environmental Services team was out in force at the recent Recycling & Waste Management (RWM08) exhibition and conference, which took place 16-18 September at the NEC, Birmingham.

The exhibition was an excellent opportunity for the team to speak to our local authority customers about the service we currently provide, and what we can achieve going forward.

It was also an excellent chance to meet prospective customers and emphasise the innovative, customer focused, long term solutions and expertise that May Gurney can provide - from management of recycling centres and kerbside collections, to integrated waste management contracts including street cleansing operations.

Our stand was also a focal point for discussions with material reprocessors and other recycling companies, who provided an interesting insight into new technologies and systems under development.

Steve Longdon, support and risk director, Environmental Services, summed up: "We have an in-depth technical and operational understanding of the industry and the pressures local authorities face in relation to waste and recycling targets, and RWM08 provided an excellent platform to express this through conversations with customers, suppliers and reprocessors."
