International recruitment campaign imminent

May Gurney is about to embark on a major recruitment campaign to attract the quantity and quality of people required to facilitate the company's ambitious plans for the short, medium and long-term future.

Internationally, the company will be turning to India to fill skills gaps. During March and April the company will be looking to recruit engineers, quantity surveyors, measurement engineers, estimators and project managers from the sub-continent.

In the UK, the company will recruit 60-70 graduates, trainees and apprentices into the business during summer 2007. To this end, May Gurney is establishing strong links with universities in a bid to help recruit engineering graduates.

There are also a number of opportunities for general management trainees and people with other key skills including customer services and the professions, as well as those seeking a career in administration.

There are also opportunities for existing employees who are keen to progress. May Gurney gives every encouragement to people who want to develop, and provides the necessary training to give its people the skills they need to progress through the organisation.
