In the frame for Quoted Company Award
May Gurney has been short listed for one of the prestigious Quoted Company Awards, which will be presented at the London Hilton Hotel on 31 January.
The Quoted Company Awards recognise the achievements of quoted companies listed below the FTSE 350. The awards take a fresh and innovative look at the quoted company market, and reward the outstanding contributions of individuals active in public companies.
May Gurney has been short listed for the IPO of the Year Award, for which judges consider the amount of money raised, costs of float, timing, and the type, size and sector of the company being floated.
Judges also look at the valuation of the company at float and performance of the shares since flotation. The award acknowledges the entire professional team involved in the IPO - company, broker and adviser.
In addition, May Gurney Chairman Tim Ross has been short listed for the Non Executive Director of the Year Award.
The shortlist comprises non-executives who have been the catalyst for deals, contracts, acquisitions, and have opened doors with advisers. As non-execs are independent monitors of companies, the judges select those that have engendered good corporate governance. Share price, profit and sales growth are also considered.
