On target for new recruits

Our recent 'new starters' recruitment campaign attracted interest from more than 1200 applicants and the Starting Out team is confident we will meet our recruitment targets.

The campaign comprised a combination of online and newspaper advertising along with awareness raising events to attract 75 new apprentices, trainees and graduates to help achieve our ambitious growth plans in the next five years.

Liz Sugden, Starting Out Officer, says: "For anyone looking to start out on a career, or thinking of changing career, there's never been a better time to join the engineering and construction industry - and us in particular."

Assessments continue through April and the successful candidates will join us at various times during summer 2008. We've already seen a high standard of candidates at assessments in January and March, are very excited about the quality of the people who will be joining us in the near future.

Footnote: We're also looking for an injection of talent from experienced professionals as well as those who are new to the industry - so as far as your career is concerned, the sky's the limit! Click here to see our current vacancies.
