Extraordinary achievements recognised

May Gurney was pleased to support Norfolk County Council by sponsoring the 2010 Outstanding Achievement Awards for the council’s frontline employees and unsung heroes.

The awards are based on the council's values which embody the commitment of staff to providing excellent internal and external customer service, boosting the local economy and improving services for council taxpayers.

The awards ceremony was hosted by council leader Daniel Cox and chief executive David White and was compered by the BBC's Carol Bundock.

Daniel Cox said: "I found it incredibly inspiring to hear about all the nominations which recognise staff from all departments across the council, covering every imaginable type of job and service we provide."

May Gurney sponsored the Customer Focus award, which was won by Di Croot, assistant team manager customer services. Di is pictured with Alan Smith, schemes manager Norfolk Strategic Partnership, who presented the award on behalf of May Gurney.
