Chief exec hits the road to listen, learn and communicate

May Gurney’s chief executive is in the midst of a country-wide roadshow, listening to and learning from employees while communicating the company’s vision and objectives for 2010 and beyond.

The tour comprises 32 meetings across 10 locations nationwide, during which Philip Fellowes-Prynne will hear the views of more than 400 May Gurney managers. He will also give an overview of the company’s performance in 2009, and outline his vision and the challenges that lie ahead.

Philip Fellowes-Prynne said: “My vision for May Gurney is simple – to be the best support services company in the UK.

“A growing company which puts the customer first, delivers against its promises and does the right thing. A company where work is challenging, interesting and enjoyable, where people are developed and recognised - and where everyone has a say. A company that is sustainable, one that lasts, is valued and needed.

“This roadshow is a unique opportunity for me to visit locations and meet managers face to face – and to understand the key issues around the business. I also intend to use the roadshow to remove barriers and further develop communication channels.”
