'Perfect Delivery' for Suffolk students

May Gurney’s piling division has achieved ‘Perfect Delivery’ on a project it has recently completed at Suffolk New College in Ipswich.

The £357k CFA piling project comprised installation of 450 and 600 diameter piles to a maximum depth of 19.2 metres, using a Soilmec type piling rig. The programme allowed 23 days for the piling, but May Gurney completed the work in just 19 days.

At the end of the project, the client Morgan Ashurst presented May Gurney with a certificate for ‘Perfect Delivery’.

Derek Foster, Morgan Ashurst contract manager, said: “Achieving Perfect Delivery on Suffolk New College is a great credit to your company and the staff that worked on the project.

“We greatly appreciate the professionalism, technical ability and co-operation you brought – it made this project the great success that it is. Please pass on our gratitude to everyone who worked on the project.”

Steve Bursnell, contracts manager for May Gurney piling, said: “It is not often that the client takes the time out of their schedule to pass on praise such as this and we appreciate that and are pleased that the project worked out so well.”
