Success for May Gurney in Arts & Business Awards

May Gurney enjoyed success at the East Arts & Business Awards which were presented in Cambridge last night (11 February).

May Gurney won the ‘Ernst & Young A&B Young People Award’, which recognises a partnership that has harnessed the power of the arts to engage young people. The winning business will have demonstrated a dynamic connection with youth through the arts, and significant involvement of young people as audience and/or participants.

The award was for May Gurney’s sponsorship of, and partnership with, the Norfolk & Norwich Festival which has helped achieve a significant demographic shift by bringing large scale free performances to a younger audience.

The winners were announced in a ceremony at Marshall Business Aviation’s state of the art facility in Cambridge on 11 February.
