Key appointments strengthen senior management team
Two important new appointments have further strengthened the May Gurney senior management team.
Prior to joining May Gurney, Matt was divisional finance and commercial director of Serco Defence, Science and Technology, Serco’s largest division. Matt occupied senior positions at Serco since 2001.
Speaking about his decision to join May Gurney, Matt said: “The opportunity to join May Gurney as group finance director was an obvious choice.
"The company is well run, has a good track record with its customers and shareholders and is well positioned to continue its impressive track record of growth.
"In my first few weeks with the business I've been impressed by my colleagues' 'can do' attitude and their focus on delivering for the customer.”
Philip Fellowes-Prynne, May Gurney chief executive, said: “Matt’s experience within the professional services and support services sector will prove invaluable to May Gurney in the next stage of the company’s development.”

Gerry brings with him more than 20 years’ experience in managing health, safety and environment systems and he has held a number of senior positions.
Prior to joining May Gurney he was safety and assurance director for Serco Civil Government, and before that he held the post of HSE Director for Accord plc. Gerry also sits a number of National working groups to help our markets deliver real change to the environment in which we work.
Gerry has overall responsibility for May Gurney’s SHEA department and will determine the company’s strategy for safety, health, environment and assurance.
In addition he will assist in building strategic business relationships with clients and other stakeholders to ensure that May Gurney is well positioned in its chosen markets.
