May Gurney trio feature in waste 'Hot 100' chart

Three senior May Gurney Environmental Services' employees feature in the annual Hot 100 chart toppers, published by Resource magazine.

The Hot 100 recognises ‘stars’ in the waste and recycling industry for their ‘stellar performances’. The chart is compiled from votes and comments from Resource readers.

Nicola Peake, (pic above) managing director of May Gurney Environmental Services, has leapt from 48th position in 2008 to 24th position this year, for her “extremely efficient and cost effective management of whole/integrated waste systems”.

Andy Bond, (pic right) development director at Environmental Services, has moved from 40th to 37th position for being “consistently ahead of the game”.

Paul Jones, (pic below) development manager, is listed in 69th position for being “passionate about waste”.

Top of the Hot 100 is Steve Read, managing director of the Somerset Waste Partnership, which includes May Gurney, and is described as “a model for others”.

Other notable names in the Hot 100 are Jonathan Porritt (19), Hilary Benn (58) and Boris Johnson (98).
