Pat on the back

The task was to enlarge the existing Payne's Pond, which acts as a storage lagoon in heavy rainfall before discharging into a ditch.
Ecological challenges included working around the presence of water voles and established Galingale marginal planting, and the presence of fauna including newts, frogs, toads and grass snakes - along with five ducklings and nesting birds. 40 Bee orchid plants were also moved to another location, as they are a protected species.
Helen Parish, Consultant Ecologist for RPS Group, who oversaw the work, complimented the project team as follows: "By careful planning and close liaison between your team and RPS, the wildlife value of this pond has not only been protected, but enhanced.
"Overall, this was a very successful project...I look forward to working with you again."
