Awards round up - August 2007
May Gurney is in the frame for several awards in the coming weeks. Here's a quick round up of the current position with regard to short listings.
The company's TIPS For Good Management training programme has been selected for a highly prestigious National Training Award, which will be presented at a Gala Ceremony in London on 13 December.
TIPS for Good Management was also short-listed last year when the programme was Highly Commended - but this year the programme has gone two steps better!
East of England Construction Training Awards
May Gurney has entries in four categories - and remarkably all four have been short-listed.
The short listings are for: Business Education Link in Construction; Graduate of the Year and High Flyer (both Jason Brook); and Construction Health & Safety Best Practice (for MAD).
The Awards will be presented on 19 October at black tie dinner at SAS Radisson, Stansted by Sir Ranulph Feinnes, Britain's most famous explorer.

May Gurney has also been short listed in the inaugural Green Construction Awards 2007.
The short-listing, for the Green Civil Engineering Project of the Year, is for the River Witham Flood Defence Scheme in Lincolnshire. The other short listed schemes are by Birse Civils Limited and Carillion Civil Engineering.
The winners will be announced at the gala night hosted by Tim Smit, co-founder of the Eden Project, at the Hurlingham Club, Fulham, London on Wednesday 26 September.
