Another award for MAD

The IHT Awards celebrate and promote professionalism and best practice to a wide industry audience.
MAD was developed in-house and is credited with virtually halving May Gurney's AFR (Accident Frequency Rate) during 2006 - from 0.43 at the outset to 0.24 at the close of the year. Progress has continued in 2007, and the AFR has fallen to below 0.2 for the first time in the company's history.
May Gurney was short listed for the award alongside Amey (for its safety non-compliance procedure) and Balfour Beatty's (for its Take CARE programme).
The IHT Awards Dinner was held at the National Maritime Museum in London on 7 June, and was hosted by George Aligiah and Alistair Haydock, IHT President.
