May Gurney renews support for Norfolk & Norwich Festival

May Gurney is once again supporting the Norfolk and Norwich Festival (11-26 May 2012) for a fifth successive year.

The 2011 Norfolk & Norwich Festival (NNF) turned out to be the biggest and most successful to date, attracting almost 300,000 people.

This year May Gurney is once again sponsoring the NNF's free outdoor performance programme, known as MG Free.

Between 11 and 26 May 2012, leading companies, performers and visual artists from across the globe will descend on Norwich and Norfolk to create and take part in one of the UK's most vibrant multi-art form festivals.

One of the highlights this year, 100% Norfolk, is a show about the population of Norfolk, starring the population of Norfolk. Its cast of 100 ordinary folk - roofers from Roughton, lollipop ladies from Loddon and teachers from Trowse - will come together to create a unique show about what it's really like to live in Norfolk in 2012. A must for anyone who loves the place, 100% Norfolk will be a celebration of the county and its people.

Andrew Slater, May Gurney marketing & communications director, said: "We're delighted to be involved with the Norfolk and Norwich Festival once again.

"It's a highly successful and growing event and the MG Free programme enables people to enjoy the show who may not be otherwise be able to do so.

"There is also a focus on encouraging young people to become engaged with the arts, which we fully support at May Gurney."

The full Festival programme will be available in early March and tickets will go on sale from Friday 2 March.
