Historic Rights of Way link re-established

The 7.5-metre bridge, constructed by MGWSP* on behalf of Northamptonshire County Council, provides the ‘missing link' on the Corby Round Route, a three-mile route primarily comprising Public Rights of Way.
MGWSP's Rights of Way Team is responsible for 3,500 kilometres of footpaths, bridleways and byways that provide public access to the county's outstanding countryside.
The Rights of Way network provides an extremely valuable resource to a wide range of people who use it for leisure, health, recreation and sustainable links between communities.
Many Rights of Way in the county have an historic reason for their existence, which has long been forgotten or abandoned, but the Rights of Way team at MGWSP continue to record information on all routes.
*Footnote: MGWSP, a partnership between May Gurney and WSP, is responsible for maintaining highways and footpaths across Northamptonshire, working under a long-term contract on behalf of Northamptonshire County Council.
