In July 2009 a joint venture partnership between May Gurney, NPS Property Consultants and MASS Consultants, signed contracts for the North Lincolnshire Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme.
The JV has teamed up with North Lincolnshire Council and BSF Investments LLP to form a Local Education Partnership (LEP), known as Engage North Lincolnshire.
The 10-year contract, which is not dependent upon external equity or debt funding, comprises a complete end-to-end service solution for education including refurbishment, ongoing maintenance and facilities management, information technology and support and a range of other consultancy partnering services.
During the first five years of the contract, Engage North Lincolnshire will deliver education-related services valued at £91m with May Gurney Limited’s share valued at around £80m. The first phase of design and construction work, part of an overall programme that includes one new school and the refurbishment of six others, began in July 2009.
