In 2010, Essex & Suffolk Water (Northumbrian Water) awarded May Gurney two new AMP5 contracts worth up to £30m over 33 months, plus possible extensions of two and five years.
These are the biggest contracts Essex & Suffolk Water has committed to, in terms of the amount of mains replacement programmed and the length of contract (up to 10 years).
The contracts cover repair maintenance work on Essex & Suffolk Water’s clean water network in Suffolk (Lot 6), and the company’s main rehabilitation programme in the Essex area (Lot 7).
We have been running the Lot 6 contract since 2001 and have established a close working relationship with Essex & Suffolk Water. Under the contract we provide a full service for covering all disciplines to keep the client’s network safe, including a 24-hour, seven day a week standby service and backup.
