We have a comprehensive set of policies, practices and programmes outlining our approach to corporate responsibility.
This approach is integrated throughout our business operations and decision-making processes, and is underpinned by our corporate values and embedded as part of our culture.
We often take a fresh approach to achieving our corporate objectives, and meeting the needs of all stakeholders, in order to reduce the social and environmental impact of our business.
The principles underpinning our approach to corporate responsibility are:

Through our approach to the environment
We are committed to the continuous improvement of the impact we have on the environment, and the sustainability of our business - and the achievement of ISO 14001.
We aim to:
- Comply fully with all relevant legislation.
- Minimise the risk to the public from any acts or omissions resulting from our operations.
- Have the necessary control measures in place to protect the natural environment.
- Minimise emissions of noise, air pollution and waste products.
- Ensure that all of our people have suitable and sufficient information, instruction, training and supervision to act with due consideration for the environment.
- Ensure that our supply chain partners operate with an equal standard of care for the environment.
- Liaise with our customers and other stakeholder groups as appropriate on all assignments.
- Continually monitor the environmental impact of our operations.

We recognise that our people are key to ensuring that we continue to meet our business objectives. The 'be the best' attitude and hard work of our people sustains our culture of commitment to our customers.

Through our approach to the wider community
We are committed to making a positive impact within the communities in which we operate, and to increasing our community involvement in three main areas:
- By providing corporate support for employee giving through a 'Give As You Earn' scheme.
- By providing corporate support for employee fundraising through 'matched funding'.
- By corporate giving.
We also aim to:
- Provide a first class business service to, and create employment opportunities within, the communities in which we operate.
- Take our broader responsibilities very seriously, through charitable donations and creative and innovative local engagement.
- Participate in our communities by supporting local charities, educational establishments and sports clubs, and participating in the rehabilitation of ex-offenders.
- Encourage employees to become involved with local organisations and initiatives.
- Take our environmental responsibilities seriously and be aware of the impact of our operations on local communities.
- Open up communications with the communities in which we operate, and value the community as a key stakeholder in our company.
