For eligible graduates, May Gurney has approved training schemes that lead to membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

We will encourage you to seek membership of one of these organisations during your first six months of employment, and your Supervising Civil Engineer or Chartered Surveyor will support your development throughout.

Corporate membership of the Institution (MICE) as a chartered engineer can also be made available to graduates with qualifying degrees.

Other professional societies, for example the Geological Society and CIPD, can be identified for qualifying graduates. The Starting Out Officer will discuss these opportunities at your quarterly review.
